We supply many different types of Varifocal lenses. Your Varifocal lenses have engravings on which we will use to determine which type or brand of lens that you are wearing. Bifocal lenses have a visible segment at the bottom of the lens where as Varifocal lenses don’t have anything visible on the surface of the lens. Bifocal lenses have two sections, one for your distance correction and one for your near correction. Varifocal lenses have three sections which are distance, intermediate (computer) and near.

There are many different varifocal lens manufacturers. Each lens can be identified by the engravings on the lenses once we receive your order.

Once we receive your order we will check your glasses to see if they are suitable for reglazing. Then we will check over your prescription and original lenses before looking at your lens requirements on your order form. Once this has been completed we will contact you to finalise your order. Reglazing is done at your own risk but once we analyse your glasses we will notify you on any doubts we may have before glazing your glasses.

Pupil measurements are taken from your existing lenses. If you are sending a brand new frame we could use an old pair of glasses to take your pupil distance measurement off. The last option would be to use an average pupil measurement but we would recommend the other options. (Average Distance Female 63mm, Average Distance Male 64mm).
